Staring at Clouds

The last six months for me has been a real eye opener in terms of Cloud Computing and DRaaS (Disaster Recovery as a Service) and how quickly they have expanded and evolved. My focus has been trained on this for two very good reasons; One- it is my job to do so in terms of my firm and our clients and; Two- I have a few public speaking events coming up and the focus is on this very topic.

The truth is, even as I am writing this blog, some feature or new application has been developed and released for use, and I dont think its Hyperbole to say that this is probably happening almost daily. Allow me to clarify further- I am not talking about phone apps or games (even though those are important), I am referring to Business Level applications that will provide clients with tangible results. This state of evolution is real, it is persistent, and shows no end in sight.

Exciting times to be sure, as for myself singularly so at the moment, due to the approach of these pending speaking engagements. How am I to present the latest state of the art in cloud, even offering perhaps a view of “what’s next” when it’s all moving this fast?

Such are the times we live in. An amazing time to play a role in this industry, to watch these environments and solutions change, adapt, refine, grow, interconnect, and bring real change for clients. And as for these presentations, I am excited to bring as much of the latest and greatest information pertaining to the “State of the Art” for Cloud Computing. Even if tomorrow brings something new, which by all accounts, it probably will.

Stay tuned and hope to see you at the events!
